Bishop Dr. Keith L. Curry is a native of Portsmouth, Virginia. He is the son of Elder Carla D. Sessoms and the late Deacon James E. Curry Jr. and youngest child out of five children. Bishop Curry began gaining interest in ministry as his mother encouraged him to stay with God and in church. At the age of seven years old Bishop Curry began to direct the children's choir at Mount Sinai Church under the leadership of Pastor Richie and Terry Sessoms. At the age of ten Pastor Curry had received a prophesy over his life that he would one day pastor a church. He believed the word of the Lord as he started to pursue the gifts that God had planted inside of him. At the age of twelve Bishop Curry started traveling on the east coast playing for various churches and a wide range of denominations. While playing the organ and teaching music Bishop Curry finally answered his calling and begin to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ at the age of thirteen. Bishop Curry is a High School graduate of I. C. Norcom High School in Portsmouth, Virginia, he received his Bachelor Degree in Social Work with high honors at Norfolk State University, and Doctoral Degree from St. Thomas Christian University. Bishop Curry holds over 23 certifications and is currently the CEO of the Dream To Achieve Foundation, Inc., Executive Chef of the KC's Dream Cuisine Catering Service, a parent educator for the Supreme Court of Virginia, and a Drug Prevention Counselor for CLFC. Bishop Curry finally accepted the calling on his life in July 2011, founded the church in August 2011, and established the church in September 2011.
Bishop Curry was installed as Founding Senior Pastor of The Healing Temple, Inc. in Portsmouth, Virginia in 2011 and consecrated to the office of the Bishop in the Lords Church in 2014. With wisdom and guidance from God Bishop Curry grew the church from the faithful 12 to over 350 in 2 years with signs of continuos growth! Bishop Curry is the PROUD Father of Keith L. Curry, II and London N. Curry-Boone. Bishop Curry spends his life praying, serving the community, assisting others to acieve their goals and building up the lives of others!
